LIBRARY
OF INVESTIGATORS
OF THE PROVINCE OF GUADALAJARA
The Library of Researchers of the Province of Guadalajara (BIPGU), dependent on the Provincial Council of Guadalajara, is a specialized center in provincial bibliography. Due to the nature of the works it gathers, it is an unbeatable centre for bibliographic documentation on the province, at the same time that it also serves as an auxiliary library for the Provincial Council Archive and the Centre for Photography and the Historical Image of Guadalajara (CEFIHGU).
Along with the Bibliographic collections, the BIPGU has the personal archives of two important 20th century intellectuals linked to the province, the provincial chronicler Don Fco Layna Serrano and the writer Don José Herrera Soler 'Petere'; donated to the Provincial Council in 1971 and 2003 respectively.
